In July 2007 General Motors buy the 50-percent equity of VM Motori S.p.A.
The Company is now owned by GM and Penske Corporation of Roger Penske.
A joint-venture has been agreed upon and the two companies of Detroit are therefore owners 50-percent each. With this joint operation VM is part of GM Group.
