VM’s R754EU6EH has received EPA certification and can now be sold in the USA with a power output of 80kW and torque of 420Nm.
This 3.0L diesel engine has 4 cylinders in-line, direct injection, electronically regulated “Common Rail” fuel system, variable geometry turbocharger (VGT) and aftercooler to optimise performance and fuel consumption.
In order to meet the stringent regulations required by EPA, the engine and its after-treatment system underwent extensive testing to confirm engine performance and reliability.
